Erik MacPherson been at Abercrombie for the last 18 years and the past 10 years in my current role as Superintendent. 2025 marks my 27th year in the turfgrass Industry, with most of them here at Abercrombie.
A graduate of the Bachelor of Technology program from Dalhousie Agricultural College (2001) and The Pennsylvania State University Golf Course turfgrass management program (2003). I have been privileged to work at The Country Club in Brookline and Old Sandwich Golf Club in Massachusetts before returning home to Abercrombie in the spring of 2007.
This past spring, I was fortunate to receive the 2024 Atlantic Golf Superintendents Association Superintendent of the Year, a true honor and reflection of what we are working to accomplish here at ACC.
Ben Clarke stepped in as the Director of Golf at Abercrombie in 2022 and has had a strong career in the Atlantic Zone since joining the PGA in 2013.
Ben got his start as an Assistant PGA Professional at Abercrombie, and was a smiling face behind the desk from 2012-2016. From there, Ben moved onto the Halifax area, and spent 2017-2019 seasons as a full-time Teaching Professional at The Links at Brunello while achieving his Class ‘A’ PGA status, and again at Ashburn Golf Club in 2020-2021, all while representing Cobra-Puma Golf as the Atlantic Tech-Rep for 5 successful seasons.
Ben is happy to be close to home once again and has enjoyed his return to The ACC!
