Turf Care News - Ball mark & Divot Repair
Date: May 10, 2009
Welcome to the first posting of Turf Care News. It is our intention to use this page to keep you the member up to date on many facets of turf management. Some of this will be specific to Abercrombie and some of it
very much approproate to golf courses everywhere. We expect to cover items from ball mark repair to washroom construction and eveything in between. We intend on doing this a few ways. In this, our first posting, I am going to provide links to a couple of short animated clips on ball mark and divot repair. Future postings might include text, video and photos. We will try to keep these postings current and timely as it
pertains to what we are doing on our course.
We are hoping to post something on at least a bi-weekly basis so be sure to check back often!
So, here we are on May 1 and just getting the season started so what time to talk about todays topic. These clips are only two minutes long and although animated, do explain reasonably well how to repair ball marks an divots. You will not find all of the information applicable to our club, but that's okay as well.
The first clip is on Repairing Ball Marks and this is the link:

The second clip is on divot repair and this is the link:

I hope you find something of value in these clips and I would also like to stress that you can help in making your course a better place to play and this is one small way of doing so. These practices are even more
important at this time of year when soil temperatures are low and plant growth is slow so please enjoy!
