Ryan Vokey wins Junior Club Championship in Playoff

A birdie on the first playoff hole secured victory for Ryan Vokey in the 2009 Junior Club Championship.  Vokey and Blake Cormier were tied after 36 Holes with scores of 154. 

The good friends were neck & neck throughout the day.  It was exciting down the stretch when Vokey made a 40 ft downhill putt on Hole #15 for Par, followed by a solid Par on Hole #16, a creative Up & down for Birdie on Hole #17 and a Par on Hole #18.  Cormier struggled with a Double Bogey on the difficult 16th, but followed with a clutch 9-iron to 12 inches from the hole on Hole #17 to make Eagle.  Cormier's birdie putt on Hole #18 slid past the hole leading to the playoff which started on Hole #17.  Vokey's 2nd shot on Hole #17 ended up 15 ft. from the hole and he two-putted for victory.

Julia Henderson edged Bernadette Little by One Stoke to capture the Junior Ladies Title.
