2009 Handicap System Information

 

          We are currently using new software to manage your handicap information.   All members’ score history has been transferred to The R.C.G.A. Network.  This web-page based program is a new service provided by the Royal Canadian Golf Association and is included with our annual membership.  This program is user friendly, very accessible, and provides many new features and benefits to our membership and administration.

          As in previous years, the Handicap kiosk will be available in the main room of the clubhouse, and also through a link on our web-page.

TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD:

(Recommended by Handicap Committee)

 

1.     Once in your new RCGA Network account, under the “Admin” sub-heading, select the “Account” Button.

2.     Select “Change User/Password” Button.

3.     Fill in Password information and press “SAVE”

4.     Please make a note of your username and password.

Handicap Committee Message

The Handicap Committee has been randomly reviewing scores of members who play in club events and tournaments abroad. In an effort to ensure a fair and consistent playing field for all Club events hosted by Abercrombie, the following action will be taken in 2009.

As of July 31st, 2009, members that have less than 8 scores entered for the season will have their handicap temporarily adjusted for all Club Championships, Men's Invitational and other competitive events. This will not apply to mixed fun events.

*** If any golfer has difficulties with entering scores in the computer, just leave the scorecard at the pro shop and a member of the Handicap Committee will be glad to enter the score for you.
